King Trash Panda

The idea of King Trash Panda came to me when a friend of mine told me about daily visits they were getting from a raccoon - and was starting to feel like a pet. I was inspired by the playfulness of raccoons, how they have a reputation for being cheeky and mischievous. Interestingly raccoons also symbolize transformation - which just so happens to be what this painting was for me. A transformation in my art, as I began to play with colour more, experimenting with bright colours, patterns and new techniques.
